Tony Fitzmaurice founded ATFM Solutions in 2005 as an electronic document, data processing consultancy. He was working on his own but had some advanced product ideas and concepts that he wanted to develop to turn the business from a consultancy into a product orientated software company.

“I joined the Enterprise Development Programme to use it as a vehicle to facilitate the strategic growth and direction of the business,” says Tony.

“EDP provided a number of significant aids to move ATFM to a product based software company. It provided access to industry expertise in areas such as sales, marketing, management, and outside investors.

“The programme also provided regular presentations from people who had already succeeded at what I was attempting which was very useful. There was a very high level of peer review and interactivity and this was one of the most critical factors in ensuring successful progress. “

As a result of taking part in EDP, ATFM went from a single person consultancy to a seven person software development company in 10 months.

“I firmly believe that this would not have been achieved without the structure, framework and access to opinions and expertise the EDP provided,” adds Tony.
